Our Mission
Hands Open Wide, formerly known as Children's Home Chain (CHC), was founded by Michael Hartle of Indiana, PA in 2013 when a church member returned from a mission trip to Uganda having visited Raising Up Hope for Uganda. The woman's passion for this ministry caused Mike to to join the next trip. Having witnessed the precious orphaned children, the Godly men who ran the orphanage, and the indescribable need in which Uganda's extreme-poor children live, Hands Open Wide was born.
Hands Open Wide seeks to partner with Christian organizations in Uganda. Our partners develop a close supportive relationship with our African brethren to aid extreme-poor children with programs like education, daily support, VBS, medical clinics, construction projects, etc.
